Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistan cricketer, has expressed his confidence in Peshawar Zalmi’s Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris, stating that they will soon become Pakistan’s T20I opening pair in the future.
Raja commended the duo’s potential on his YouTube channel but also criticized their inability to close out a game for Zalmi.
Mr Ramiz Raja mentioned both of the m have alot of potential and they have alot more abilities to show and utilize their maximum talent, Although there start was exceptional but after they were settled on the crease they were unable to finish that game properly. Not capitalizing on their abilities is a waste of talent.”
Haris gave Zalmi an excellent start, but they failed to take advantage of it, losing the game by 56 runs. Haris scored 40 runs off 23 balls, while Saim achieved his highest PSL score of 53 before being dismissed.
Raja also emphasized the importance of promoting younger players through HBL PSL.
“I strongly believe that Pakistan Super League should be focused on younger players rather than those who are nearing 40 years of age,” he stated. “The younger players should be promoted and supported more than the aged one, these young men are the future of our cricket team and they should be well cared and supported, all of them are full of talent and they deserve support to show there extreme abilities.”
