Haris Rauf has been named honorary DSP of the Islamabad Police Department
Haris Rauf, a Pakistani speedster, has been named honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police for the Islamabad Capital Territory Police (DSP).
For this appointment, ICT held a ceremony in Islamabad during which the pacer was unofficially dressed in blue uniform and the honourable rank was granted special by IG Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.

For Pakistan, Rauf has 72 Twenty20 wickets and 30 Limited overs wickets.
Rauf expressed his delight at being named ICT Police’s goodwill Ambassador of Islamabad Police.
He was recently spotted with the PSL 8 Trophy, which he won with Lahore Qalandars, at the Wagah Border.
I’m truly honoured to be appointed as a goodwill ambassador of @ICT_Police and an even greater honour to be able to wear this uniform as our heroes who lay their lives in the line of duty ! @akbarnasirkhan @farharkazmii @Ayab_Ahmed pic.twitter.com/gh6A2H01sb

It appears that there is a trend between police from different regions and Pakistan pacers, as Naseem Shah was also appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Balochistan Police earlier this year.
