Max Verstappen wins the Australian Grand Prix as the chaotic F1 race concludes under a safety car.
Inevitably, and in what is likely to be a recurring pattern throughout the year, Max Verstappen ended up winning for Red Bull in Melbourne, but only after a dose of the chaos and confusion that F1 is so good at serving up.
Its tangled rulebook weighed heavily on the action once more, informed by the looming spectre of the Abu Dhabi 2021 criticism and an indication that the demand for entertainment is driving decision making.

The meeting in Albert Park lasted nearly two and a half hours. Late risers in the UK looking for the final laps over breakfast were undoubtedly relieved to discover that they had plenty of time to watch after the race was stopped three times.

Whether they understood what was going on by the end is another question entirely, as it appears that few in Melbourne did either, with the race ending in an ignominious manner, dismissed by drivers as a mess that left sometimes them confused. Source (The Guardian)
