Many fuel station in Punjab including bigger and smaller cites ran out of fuel due to short fuel supply by the oil marketing companies. Many cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and other minor one have shortage in supply of petrol.
About 30% of the pumps of lahore are dry due to shortage of supply, and 70% of the petrol pumps in Gujranwala are without petrol as reports from the Khawaja Atif petroleum dealers associate secretory. According to him minor districts like okara and sahiwal are without petrol supply from several days.
While the minister of petroleum services denied these rumors and sure that there is enough available for the next 20 days and there is no shortage of fuel in the country. And he also warned that strict action should be taken against owners lisence who will cause shortage of the fuel.
