Van Niekerk former African aptain announced retirement
The 29-year-old played one Test, 107 ODIs, and 86 T20Is for his country, making some crucial contributions. She took one wicket in a Test, 138 in an ODI, and 65 in a T20I. She also contributed with the bat, scoring 22 runs in Tests, 2175 in ODIs, and 1877 in the shortest format.
Van Niekerk last represented her country in 2021. The skipper was notably absent from their squad for the ICC Women’s Twenty/20 World Cup 2023.
Van Niekerk served as South Africa’s representative from 2009 to 2021.
